We are seeking an experienced Test & Validation Engineer to support the testing and validation of robotics and automated systems in Zurich, Switzerland. This is a 12-month, site-based contract. The successful candidate will ensure that robotic systems meet performance, safety, reliability and quality requirements before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, test cases and validation procedures based on product requirements.
- Conduct functional, performance, endurance and regression testing of robotic and automated systems.
- Analyse test results, identify issues and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams to investigate failures and identify root causes.
- Validate corrective actions and verify that identified issues have been resolved.
- Develop and improve automated test coverage to enhance testing efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain test rigs, fixtures and testing equipment to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
- Work with sensors, motors, control systems and related robotic components during testing.
- Ensure traceability between product requirements, test cases and validation results.
Requirements
- Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in test engineering, validation engineering or a related field.
- Experience in robotics, industrial automation, mechatronics or automated systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of functional testing, performance testing, endurance testing and regression testing.
- Experience writing test plans, test cases, test scripts and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing setups is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.
- German language skills are advantageous.
- Willingness to work on-site in Zurich, Switzerland, for the 12-month contract duration.
