Software Engineer Integration & Automation in Greifensee

You develop and maintain software solutions that connect laboratory instruments, automation systems, robotics platforms and enterprise applications.

Your tasks

• Develop, maintain and enhance laboratory software solutions for system integration, automation and connectivity
• Design, maintain and improve laboratory automation and robotics solutions, including robot programming platforms
• Own robotic cells used for demonstration, exploration of new use cases and feasibility studies
• Collaborate with global development teams, business stakeholders, integration partners and vendors
• Provide technical consulting and engineering support for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure high software quality through testing, documentation, deployment and secure development practices
• Support advanced robotics environments, AI-enabled automation solutions and simulation environments

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in system integration environments
• Strong object-oriented programming skills, ideally in .NET/C#, Web-based programming and Python
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including source control, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, OPC UA, XML/JSON, cloud technologies, Docker, Kubernetes and authentication technologies
• Ideally experience with robot programming platforms and industrial robot controllers
• Fluent in English (oral and written); German language skills are a plus
