AI & Data Engineer in Zürich

This role develops and operates the technical foundations of an internal generative AI solution, including data architectures and pipelines for an engineering organization.

Your tasks

• Design scalable data architectures and data pipelines for an internal generative AI solution




• Build vector databases (RAG) and graph databases




• Ensure secure and reliable operation of the AI solution




• Evaluate suitable AI models and new technologies




• Define technical standards for platforms, APIs and models




• Ensure quality of data integrations through testing




• Collaborate closely with IT and other departments, considering data protection and IT security

What you bring

• Completed degree in computer science, data engineering, business informatics or comparable field




• Experience building modern data and AI solutions




• Sound knowledge of cloud architectures (e.g. Azure)




• Experience with data pipelines, MLOps and database integrations




• Experience with vector databases and RAG systems




• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and Docker




• Fluent English required; basic German is helpful

• Option of a permanent position after the assignment if both sides want it
