Your Responsibilities

  • Verification and validation of PLD/FPGA solutions for embedded systems in the aerospace environment
  • Planning, execution, and coordination of verification activities within complex aerospace development projects
  • Verification of technical requirements and detailed specifications to ensure compliance of FPGA-based hardware architectures and control systems
  • Development and execution of verification plans, test procedures, and test cases
  • Performing functional, integration, and system-level verification of PLD/FPGA solutions
  • Conducting FPGA simulations and debugging activities using industry-standard verification tools
  • Performing PLD/FPGA design reviews to assess requirements, concepts, detailed designs, and verification results
  • Analysis, documentation, and communication of verification and validation results
  • Creation, review, and evaluation of safety concepts, safety analyses, and compliance documentation
  • Supporting certification and qualification activities in accordance with aerospace standards and processes
  • Collaboration within interdisciplinary development teams consisting of hardware, software, systems, and verification engineers

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable technical qualification
  • Solid experience in the verification and validation of FPGA or PLD-based systems
  • Ideally, experience in aerospace development environments
  • Proven experience with PLD/FPGA technologies and corresponding development and verification tools (e.g. Microsemi, Xilinx, Altera, Libero)
  • Strong knowledge of FPGA verification methodologies and simulation environments
  • Experience with ModelSim, Riviera-PRO, or comparable verification tools
  • Experience with requirements-based verification, test planning, and verification reporting
  • Experience with model-based development approaches and tools (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink) is an advantage
  • Ideally, experience with FPGA verification for aerospace applications in accordance with DO-254
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential for effective internal and external communication. German language skills are considered an advantage.

A permanent employment contract is offered.

The position is compensated within the IG Metall collective agreement framework. The salary development includes several salary adjustments within the first 12 months. The average annual salary during the first year of employment is €77,000. Following the completion of this adjustment phase, the annual salary from the 13th to the 47th month is €100,000.
