Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop NPD projects in EMEA in accordance with our development process on all technical aspects for design and development.
  • Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
  • Ability to lead tradeoff discussions and conversations around risk management with cross‑functional teams.
  • Drive design of project to meet market‑driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing, reliability, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze, evaluate and select from design execution alternatives to best meet specification objectives and implement designs into mass production.
  • Accountable for technical elements of project execution including integration of complicated components and assemblies, material selection, packaging and safety, regulatory and standards compliance.
  • Conduct design and safety reviews as needed to gain necessary approvals for product development phase progressions.
  • Schedules, develops agendas, facilitates and documents project meetings.
  • Tracks project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Regularly makes presentations of project status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or further technical education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in project management and product development.
  • Solid understanding of technical processes in Engineering like Product Development & technical documentation.
  • Ideally experienced in safety footwear industry.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken , another European language is of advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS office application.
  • Extensive Knowledge in CAD system.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business (30% ca.).
