For area of Rangendingen or Ludwigsburg we are looking for a

Group category buyer tubex group(m/F/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities within assigned categories across all business units of the group
  • Develop and implement category strategies that support cost optimisation, risk mitigation and supplier innovation
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities and cost structures to inform sourcing decisions and drive value
  • Manage and execute RFQs, supplier evaluations and selection processes; ensure transparency and alignment with internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and service level agreements with suppliers in collaboration with legal and technical teams
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, including delivery, quality, service and compliance with KPIs
  • Maintain accurate contract records and supplier databases; ensure proper documentation and data integrity across systems
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, technology, quality) to understand business needs and ensure procurement strategies are aligned
  • Proactively identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements
  • Support group‑wide sustainability, compliance and responsible sourcing initiatives
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans
  • Prepare and present procurement reports, category dashboards and performance summaries to management
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of procurement tools, systems and best practices across the group

You meet these Requirements:

  • University education (Master’s degree required) in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain roles with increasing responsibility
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and category strategy development
  • Driving licence group B – active driver
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (advanced level)
  • Experience with ERP procurement systems and data analytics tools (e.g., SAP, proALFA, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; data‑driven and results‑oriented.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Confident working in a cross‑functional, multicultural environment
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset – able to build positive relationships and work effectively across departments and locations
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused and adaptable to change
  • Demonstrated success in cost optimisation, contract management, and supplier performance management
  • Technically aware, with a responsible and solution‑oriented approach to work
  • Familiarity with sustainability and risk management principles in procurement
