Your Tasks
- Design and build data science solutions, across TÜV SÜD domains (e.g., medical technology, elevators, automotive, product testing, …).
- Engineer LLM solutions, in particular in the area of conversational AI, end to end: prompt design / refinement, retrieval pipelines, safety / guardrails, and systematic evaluation.
- Support in monitoring and improving deployed solutions by screening quality, latency, and cost; triaging user feedback; and resolving incidents.
- Collaborate in cross‑functional, agile teams with data scientists, software engineers, and subject‑matter experts.
- Prototype, experiment, and benchmark new approaches.
- Identify trends in unstructured data processing and sourcing (OCR / document parsing, embeddings, etc.)
- Contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and enablement for LLM development and evaluation.
Your Qualification
- Successfully completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- At least 4 years of practical experience applying data science methods in a corporate or consulting environment
- In-depth expertise in modern AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and AI-powered business solutions
- Strong proficiency in Python for data science, combined with solid software engineering fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to independently lead projects end-to-end, including effective collaboration with non-technical business stakeholders
- Experience with information retrieval techniques, especially retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Proficiency in German is highly desirable
