The ECM Lead (f/m/d) is responsible for TÜV SÜD's Enterprise Content Management capability – content strategy, archiving, knowledge publishing, and search – across the corporate application landscape. The role owns the modernisation of the ECM landscape (replacing heterogeneous legacy systems with the central SAP OpenText platform), leads the technical team across Germany and Romania, and steers the transition of the ongoing OPEn project into a durable product organisation from end 2027 onwards. Reports directly to the Head of AI & Automation Technologies.
Tasks
- Define the content strategy and governance for archiving, knowledge publishing, and search across the relevant applications and business units
- Own the modernisation of the ECM landscape, in particular the replacement of heterogeneous legacy systems with the central ECM platform (SAP OpenText), and steer the migration of existing repositories
- Own the ECM architecture and its integration with SAP, business applications, and AI use cases, ensuring technical future-proofing
- Lead the team functionally across geographies and as line manager in Germany, and develop the team consistently
- Ensure legally compliant archiving (GoBD), operational stability and SLA adherence, and own vendor management with OpenText and external support partners
- Steer, together with the OPEn project lead, the transition from project to product organisation from 2027 onwards, and align roadmap, budget, and operations accordingly.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Enterprise Content Management, document management, or enterprise archiving
- Deep understanding of leading ECM platforms (ideally OpenText) and their integration with SAP and business applications
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and building operations and support structures (including nearshore/offshore)
- Experience with vendor management and steering external implementation and support partners
- Excellent communication skills in German (C1 level or higher) and English
