A growing EPC/OEM delivering major energy and infrastructure projects across Europe is strengthening its HSE capability in Germany. To support this development, we are seeking an HSE Engineer with a strong office-based focus to help drive safety governance, compliance and reporting across the organisation.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will support the development and coordination of HSE systems, policies and procedures, ensuring that project teams, subcontractors and internal departments operate in line with regulatory and corporate requirements. This role is primarily office-based, with limited travel as needed to support audits, stakeholder meetings or specific project milestones.

This position offers strong visibility, cross-functional collaboration and excellent long-term progression opportunities as the regional organisation expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of HSE documentation, policies and procedural frameworks
• Coordinate HSE requirements between project teams, subcontractors and internal departments
• Assist with regulatory compliance activities, ensuring records, permits and certifications remain up to date
• Support internal HSE reporting, KPI tracking and management presentations
• Help coordinate risk assessments, method statements and HSE planning documentation
• Assist with incident reporting, root-cause analysis and follow-up actions, primarily from the office
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of HSE training, inductions and communication materials
• Maintain accurate databases, documentation systems and audit records
• Provide support during internal and external HSE audits, with occasional site presence where required

Candidate Profile

• Degree in safety engineering, environmental engineering, occupational safety or a related field
• Experience in HSE roles within EPC, construction, manufacturing, transmission or energy sectors
• Strong understanding of applicable HSE regulations, standards and documentation requirements
• Organised, analytical and comfortable managing documentation and compliance processes
• Professional German and English
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, auditing processes and incident investigation methodologies
