Overview
In this role you lead environmental, health and safety efforts for large-scale Data Centre projects in Düsseldorf. You will align site safety with the client and Turner & Townsend safety programmes, supervising EHS resources and guiding risk assessments. You help build a proactive safety culture, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with local codes and client requirements. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Promote safety awareness among project managers on site
- Prepare, implement, and monitor the project EHS plan
- Lead safety meetings with client and trades
- Oversee client EHS resources and outsource EHS personnel
- Assess and approve contractor safety plans
- Review High Risk Activities and ensure safety compliance
- Champion safety initiatives and support client campaigns
- Perform investigations and root-cause analysis
- Provide safety support and guidance
- Ensure alignment with local safety regulations and Turner & Townsend Safety Programme
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Several years of experience in HSE leadership roles
- Experience on large-scale, complex projects; Data Centre experience preferred
- Proficient in project controls and risk assessments
- Strong communication, organization, coordination, and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate and inspire consultants/contractors
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and client-facing posture
- Familiarity with local health and safety legislation and best practices
- Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent English; German is a plus
