Overview
In this role you will lead health, safety, and environmental efforts on large-scale Data Centre projects in the Frankfurt area. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support incident investigations. You will influence on-site safety practice and align with Turner & Townsend’s safety programme to deliver high-profile projects. This is a chance to shape safety outcomes across complex programmes and contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering critical infrastructure safely.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the project EHS Plan on site
- Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Participate in site safety meetings with the Client and Trade Contractors
- Assist with review and coordination of contractor safety documentation (risk assessments and method statements)
- Monitor high-risk activities and report observations, concerns, and improvement opportunities
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits for compliance with client requirements and local regulations
- Support safety campaigns, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and tracking of corrective actions
- Provide day-to-day HSE guidance and support to project teams and contractors
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with Client safety requirements and applicable local legislation
- Support the delivery of the Turner & Townsend Safety Programme and promote best practices across the project
- Escalate significant safety concerns and non-conformances to project and HSE leadership teams
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 3-5+ years' experience in a construction HSE role on large-scale projects
- Good understanding of construction safety requirements, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and HSE compliance processes
- Experience supporting site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Familiarity with local health and safety legislation and industry best practices
- Well-organized with coordination and administrative skills in fast-paced environments
- Ability to build positive working relationships and promote a safety culture on site
- Proactive team player with willingness to learn and develop
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
- Fluent English; German is a plus
