Overview
As Cost Manager for major construction projects in the data centre sector, you will manage pre- and post-contract cost activities from feasibility to final account. You’ll work within a consultancy to deliver accurate cost plans, procurement strategies, and regular cost reports, collaborating with clients and other consultants. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Pre- and post-contract duties: cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variations, final accounts
- Feasibility studies and procurement reports
- Estimating and cost planning, including presenting the final cost plan
- Tendering and procurement activities: pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report, contractual documents
- Timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
- Monthly post-contract cost reports to the client
- Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages
- Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Cost risk analysis and input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
- Maintain central feedback and updating of best practices in estimating
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Technical knowledge of Data centre or related facility asset types
- Good knowledge of methods of construction and procurement
- Experience with or leading teams using multiple estimating tools and applications
- Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases
- Collaborative approach and ability to develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Good organization and multitasking abilities
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Proven cost or commercial management experience, ideally in a consultancy
