Overview

As Cost Manager for major construction projects in the data centre sector, you will manage pre- and post-contract cost activities from feasibility to final account. You’ll work within a consultancy to deliver accurate cost plans, procurement strategies, and regular cost reports, collaborating with clients and other consultants. Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Pre- and post-contract duties: cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variations, final accounts
  • Feasibility studies and procurement reports
  • Estimating and cost planning, including presenting the final cost plan
  • Tendering and procurement activities: pre-qualification, tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report, contractual documents
  • Timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
  • Monthly post-contract cost reports to the client
  • Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Cost risk analysis and input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
  • Maintain central feedback and updating of best practices in estimating

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Technical knowledge of Data centre or related facility asset types
  • Good knowledge of methods of construction and procurement
  • Experience with or leading teams using multiple estimating tools and applications
  • Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases
  • Collaborative approach and ability to develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Good organization and multitasking abilities
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Proven cost or commercial management experience, ideally in a consultancy
