Interim Accounting Manager | Berlin or UK (remote) | Inside IR35 Contract / FTC / Freelance
Location: Berlin (hybrid, a couple of office days a week) or UK-based remote support
Type: Interim 4-month contract or fixed-term, through year-end close and into the new year

The opportunity
twentyAI are working on behalf of a fast-growing consumer brands platform on the search for an Interim Accounting Manager. The business acquires, integrates and scales digital-first consumer brands across pet, baby and home, selling through Amazon, direct-to-consumer and retail. After a recent acquisition and a period of restructuring, they need an experienced, hands-on accountant to take charge of the accounting team and keep the function steady through year-end.
The role
- Own the year-end close and the monthly close process through to year-end
- Lead balance sheet and account reconciliations, and review the team’s work
- Manage and support a small team of three accountants, covering workload, reviews and deadlines
- Keep processes consistent and controlled following the acquisition
- Work closely with finance leadership and Controlling
- Be a practical, process-focused lead who gets involved in the detail
About you
- Proven experience leading an accounting team and owning a close end to end
- Multi-entity, multi-currency experience
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred, and exposure to other ERPs is valuable
- E-commerce, marketplace or consumer goods background is a bonus
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent is helpful but not essential
- Previous interim or contract experience, and confidence stepping into a team quickly
- Fluent English, since the team works in English
