The Center for Social Affairs is one of the largest associations of its kind in Switzerland. On behalf of 28 municipalities with a catchment area of over 100,000 people, we are actively engaged, accessible, and networked in the following areas: Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB), professional guardianship, social counseling, mother and father counseling, addiction counseling, and school social work.
The KESB (Child and Adult Protection Authority) is responsible for ensuring the protection of children, adolescents, and adults who are unable to independently obtain the necessary support.
Your Tasks
- Management/instruction of procedures and conducting investigations in the KESB
- Individual and collegial decisions in child and adult protection
- Issuing investigation and expert opinion assignments to third parties
- Conducting hearings
- Professional supervision of ongoing measures
- Instruction/counseling of professional guardians and private guardians
- Collaboration with specialist offices, municipalities, and institutions in child and adult protection
- Case-independent public relations work of the KESB authority
You Bring
- Completed studies in law, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in family law
- Knowledge of civil and administrative legal procedures
- Driver's license category B
- Resilient, assertive, and integrity-driven personality with team spirit
- Very good communication skills and confident written expression
- High affinity for interdisciplinary collaboration as well as for the municipal structures of a region
- Ability to set priorities
- Empathy towards people in difficult life situations
