Social Educator 80-90% at the Observation Station Committed Together for Job and Future Who We Are – Working in the Youth Village The Youth Village in Knutwil, in the canton of Lucerne, is a social pedagogical institution that implements civil and criminal law measures for highly behavioral-disturbed male adolescents and young adults between 14 and 25 years old. Employees of the Youth Village accompany the young people on their way to a self-responsible life. Our work is characterized by a positive attitude towards life, appreciation, and genuine interest in the development of the young people. We work according to systemic and group-centered principles. In doing so, we promote and support the personal, social, and professional competencies of the young people. In the Youth Village, various professional groups come together and work collaboratively and across departments. We live a participative leadership style characterized by mutual trust and respect, continuously educate ourselves, and create the conditions with our expertise, experience, and structures to achieve the goals.

Your Tasks

You work solution-oriented with male adolescents and the system, assess the life situation of the young people, and then find a suitable follow-up solution together with them and the interdisciplinary team. Creativity is required, as well as the courage to take new paths. You are interested in accompanying young people in their daily lives, taking on case management, and developing recommendations.

What You Bring

• A diploma in social pedagogy or an equivalent qualification
• You are creative, visionary, resilient, flexible, and want to work in a team of work pedagogy, special education, and social pedagogy
• You are interested in accompanying young people in their daily lives
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Driving license category B
