Simulation & Avionics Systems Engineer in Immenstaad am Bodensee

TXT PACE is looking for a Simulation & Avionics Systems Engineer to join its team and contribute to modelling, simulation and development activities for complex avionics systems in the Space/Aerospace sector.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall system simulation, working on component modelling, model analysis and validation, as well as verification activities in collaboration with different technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Derive, implement and test component models, contributing to the maintenance of the overall system simulation;
• Contribute to the code base used for model evaluation and analysis and for generating the related reports;
• Perform structured software testing on your own implementations and those developed by other team members, while maintaining the code structure and related documentation;
• Collaborate with technical experts on model derivation and validation activities, integrating updates related to model data and structure;
• Perform system identification activities for component models and overall system models based on test data;
• Support other technical teams in the use of models, for example for Flight Control Software verification or concept design studies;
• Critically analyse and continuously improve technical concepts, tools and methodologies.

Technical Skills / IT Skills

• Modelling and simulation of complex avionics systems;
• Development, implementation, testing and maintenance of component and system models;
• System Identification based on test data;
• Model evaluation and analysis;
• Structured software testing;
• Management and maintenance of the code base and related documentation;
• Generation of reports based on analysis results;
• MATLAB/Simulink or comparable tool suites – plus;
• SimTG Modeling Framework – significant plus;
• Use of models for Flight Control Software verification;
• Modelling and simulation in support of concept design studies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent qualification;
• At least 2 years of experience in the Space/Aerospace sector, particularly in the simulation of complex avionics systems, preferably in the Space domain;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• Written and spoken German is considered a plus.

Employment Terms

• Contract type: Permanent German employment contract;
• Gross annual salary: €55,000 – €65,000;
• Full-time;
• Hybrid working model (based in Germany);
• The final employment terms and classification will be defined during the selection process based on the selected candidate’s profile and in accordance with IG Metall.
