Pace Engineering and IT , part of the TXT Group , is looking for a Software Engineer to join its team.
The selected professional will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, security, and continuous evolution of software deployments and the operational IT infrastructure.
The role involves defining, configuring, and implementing IT infrastructure for both internal development systems and end-user systems used by customer teams located across Central Europe.
The Software Engineer will support a rigorous configuration management process to define and maintain IT system baselines.
A key responsibility will be ensuring system compliance with IT security guidelines, such as BSI IT-Grundschutz , by applying appropriate updates, patches, and configurations.
The role also includes continuously updating development systems in line with the evolution of Mission Planning Systems , as well as defining reliable and reproducible processes for the operational release of new baselines.
This position is part of a highly engaged development team, focused on improving the maintainability and operability of IT systems while optimizing the supporting toolchain.
Key responsibilities
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the secure and reliable management of IT systems
- Proven experience working closely with software development teams and integrating with development and configuration processes
- Hands‑on experience with Jira, Git, Bitbucket, and Nexus
- Several years of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code in Windows environments
Required Skills

- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code in Windows environments (PowerShell, Active Directory, VMware, Baramundi, Ansible)
Education
- High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree
- Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
