Area of Consideration: Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany and EXTERNAL Local National Applicants residing in Germany.

Major Duties: Serves as a dispatcher with office duties at USAG Fire Alarm Communications and Control Center (FACC). Operates the electronically controlled emergency desk, handling assigned fire and other emergency calls, including emergency engineer and medical emergency calls. Executes management, incident control, administrative, and clerical duties.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. P-2: Minimum Basic Requirements: E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss) PLUS German certification as basic firefighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2).
  2. P-4: Minimum Basic Requirements: E&T Level I PLUS German certification as basic firefighter PLUS completed training in accordance with US Forces Fire Protection Program guidelines.
  3. General Experience: 2 years of creditable general experience demonstrating the ability to follow directions and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  4. Required Training: HN radio communicator training, dispatcher training, and DoD Hazmat Awareness, Telecommunicator I and II within 1 year of final job offer.
  5. Language Proficiency: English and German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
  6. Office automation skills required.
  7. Driver’s license class B required.

Conditions of Employment: Permanent full-time position (256 hrs./month). Rotating shift work, weekends, and holiday work required. Heavy lifting up to 45 lbs. required. On-call duty required. Incumbent may be required to perform TDY within Germany.
