• About this position: This position is located at the Auto Hobby Shop on Spangdahlem AB. It is a Regular Full-time position (35-40 hours per week), with work scheduled Monday-Sunday, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Under the supervision of the Arts and Crafts Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for managing Car Care Operations and related duties. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Note: Military Spouse Preference is lost if selected for this position.

Duties

Reoccurring & Regular Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for day-to-day workforce management of the Car Care facilities, including staff scheduling, recruitment, training, leave approvals, time card management, performance reviews, and discipline administration. Provides technical support and guidance to staff, formulates mission planning, programming, scheduling, and policies in accordance with DOD, Air Staff, and USAFE directives. Develops budgets, tracks expenses, analyzes operating statements, and engages in strategic planning. Evaluates financial statements to identify inefficiencies and develops business plans to improve financial performance. Coordinates maintenance schedules, performs inspections, and prepares reports following guidelines for the squadron\’s NAF vehicle fleet. Manages O&M and NAF assets, including internal controls. Prepares data in Air Force financial software such as NAFRIS, NAFDIS, IBPS, and SETS. Serves as a NAF Fund Purchase Card holder. Ensures compliance with environmental procedures, manages hazardous waste, and serves as the primary representative for self-inspection, safety, HAZCOM, and ESOMIS. Develops annual marketing plans and assists with special events and base functions as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• Must pass a pre-employment Physical Examination and subsequent examinations every three years.
• Subject to pre-employment and random testing, including testing due to suspicion or involvement in on-duty accidents.
• Shift work required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR Driver\’s License.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet experience requirements, which include progressively responsible management experience, operational or administrative experience, and knowledge of automotive repair processes and parts sales. Effective communication skills and supervisory abilities are required. Certification in ASE Auto Service Consultant (Cl) and Parts Specialist (P Series) must be obtained within 6 months of employment and maintained thereafter.
