Serves as a Credentials File Manager at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), the incumbent is responsible for implementing a Credentials and privileging program to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines. Provides Command leadership and Department/Clinic Chiefs with consultative support regarding technical aspects of credentialing and privileging issues and technicalities. Evaluates developments in procedural techniques for potential application in the MTF.

Duties:
- Develops Clinical Services of short and long-term goals necessary to accomplish the mission of the credentialing and privileging program.
- Receives and reviews both sensitive and non-sensitive correspondence pertaining to the credentials function.
- Provides guidance and instruction to staff in completing the required documentation and electronic Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) records/applications for establishing privileges for healthcare providers.
- Serves as technical advisor to MEDCEN Credentials and privileging function of the Credentials committee of the Medical Staff.
- Serves in an advisory capacity to geographically separated United States Army Reserve and Army National Guard units with members who are privileged providers and rotate for training or mobilize to LRMC in support of the medical mission.
- Provides guidance and direction on creating and maintaining CCQAS database records, PCF and Provider Activity File (PAF) files, verification procedures, and administrative processing of privileging actions.
- Ensures the credentialing and privileging process is in compliance with current federal laws.
- Develops, manages, and monitors the effectiveness of the initial privileges preceptor evaluation activity (Focused professional Practice Evaluation).
Requirements:
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26JUL12 DODI 1400.25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations in accordance with Defense Health Agency Procedural Instruction 6025.34.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 5-10% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
