The Mission in Bern, Switzerland, is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Supervisory Administrative Assistant in the Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) section, on a two-year, fixed term employment contract.
The incumbent provides budget, administrative, and personnel support to the OBO Project Director throughout the project life cycle. Key responsibilities include preparing the site operations budget and advising management on procurement, cost, and quality assurance matters; reviewing payment vouchers for accuracy; and coordinating contractor accreditation, identity credentials, and local staff recruitment. The incumbent supervises and evaluates administrative staff, oversees time and attendance reporting, and manages office operations, including IT access controls, filing systems, equipment maintenance, and supply procurement. Additionally, the incumbent serves as personal assistant to the Project Director, managing travel arrangements, correspondence, meeting logs with host country officials, and end-of-project property disposition.
