The Head of External Communication develops various communications for external audiences, including media, customers, elected officials, influencers and more. This includes press releases, media campaigns, proactive media outreach (top-tier, trade and local), key messaging for external audiences, media holding statements, preparation for media interviews, spokesperson responsibilities, media monitoring and more. Manages media relations, issues and crises communications and select senior executive leader communications, such as thought leadership. May also develop strategies for social media platforms, including content development designed to engage audiences, build brand awareness and drive traffic across social media platforms. This category also includes Corporate Social Responsibility. **This is a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave until March 2028** **Main Tasks** * Responsibility for proactive and reactive communication with media representatives* Drafting high-quality press releases, statements, and feature articles, as well as managing the editorial calendar* Confidently responding to complex media inquiries and protecting the organization’s reputation* Planning, organizing, and conducting press conferences as well as media events* Preparing, facilitating, and supporting interviews and public appearances by leadership team members.* Building and maintaining a robust network of journalists, multipliers, and opinion leaders.* Providing professional and disciplinary leadership to the teams as well as executing external communications for CSE Residential in the DACH region* Fostering a positive corporate image among the broader public and the trade media* Leading the idea management process, to promote innovation and continuously optimize processes and products* Safeguarding the company’s reputation and proactively shaping the public narrative in a dynamic market environment* Prepare regular reporting* Lead a team of 3 people **Requirements** * Bachelor* 10 years of corporate communications experience* Strong experience Press Release and Media (PR)* Good in content writing* Strategic thinking combined with a focus on solutions and processes* Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate in interdisciplinary teams* Agility and flexibility, with a particular focus on changes in the professional field* Native German - English fluently* Project management by using software tools* Leadership skills **Vergütungsspanne**Die jährliche Vergütung für diese Position liegt zwischen €69,500.00-€139,500.00 Faktoren wie Fähigkeiten, Ausbildung, Erfahrung und weitere Qualifikationen können die Vergütung innerhalb dieser Spanne beeinflussen.
