Overview
Join UL’s Energy & Industrial Automation unit to lead certification projects that ensure safe, high-performing products for global markets. You will manage scope, timelines, and test programs, and contribute to UL requirement development. The role blends project leadership with technical reviews and client-facing reporting, with opportunities to influence standards. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position requiring travel to client sites and collaboration with lab and field staff.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage execution and timely completion of certification projects from proposal to completion
- Develop test programs for product investigations and prepare customer reports
- Contribute to development of UL requirements, test methods and equipment
- Act as Project Handler and, if qualified, reviewer for certification projects
- Prepare Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages; communicate status to clients
- Integrate continuous improvement into all aspects of the job; resolve engineering issues related to Variation Notices
- Develop new or revised UL requirements and test methods; coordinate file reviews
- Represent UL at industry events and possibly mentor staff
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's Degree in a relevant engineering field and four years of related work experience
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong knowledge of discipline-specific technical vocabulary
- Working knowledge of applicable conformity standards
- Ability to apply project-handling concepts and manage project scope, cost, and timelines
- Knowledge of IEC 61010
