Overview

Quality Coordinator (m/f/i) – ISO/IEC 17025 at UL Solutions — Laboratory in Krefeld. This role supports and enhances the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards, regulations and requirements. The candidate will help ensure accreditation, manage quality processes, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high testing standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standard while maintaining accreditation credentials.
• Lead and manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), change management, and compliance activities to continuously improve and maintain the QMS as per ISO/IEC 17025.
• Oversee Proficiency Testing Program (PTP) handling, application, and analysis to ensure laboratory compliance and performance meets industry benchmarks.
• Ensure proper validation, verification and measurement uncertainty analysis of testing equipment and methods to maintain compliance, accuracy and reliability.
• Define and assess risks and opportunities within laboratory processes, implementing and maintaining effective control measures.
• Support in coordinating, planning and demonstrating compliance during internal and external audits.
• Work closely with the Accreditation Management Team, technicians, engineers, and lab managers to maintain the integrity of testing processes and laboratory scopes.
• Ensure proper documentation, drafting, and reviewing of procedures and instructions as needed to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Preferred – Some University education in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to execute projects to achieve stated objectives.
• Working knowledge of objectives, processes, and procedures of the applicable subunit(s) of the organization.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, or laboratory testing within the plastics industry preferably.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 9001, certification processes & schemes and DAkkS assessment process with hands-on experience in accreditation audits.
• Experience with quality management methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Fluent in English (C1) and German language proficiency of (B1) minimum – required.
• Strong team player, with flexibility, active engagement, and innovative thinking.
