Our goal is to eliminate educational inequality by establishing and sustaining mutual collaborations focused on creating solutions to persistent problems of practice.
Position Summary
This position will be housed in the Institute for Partnerships in Education (IPiE) within the UNCG School of Education. The Project Coordinator will provide leadership for the IPiE-GCS Tutoring Collaboration and will support IPiE leaders with project design, management, implementation, and expansion. The Coordinator will develop and refine strategies for recruiting, hiring, and supporting graduate student tutors and will be responsible for the successful implementation of all program components. The Coordinator will provide leadership and supervision of the program’s staff, oversee project budgets, and serve as the project’s point of contact for Guilford County Schools, the SOE and broader campus community, and other community partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Education or related field, ideally in Learning Sciences, Curriculum & Instruction, or Educational Leadership
- Experience mentoring graduate students in educational settings
- Experience in developing and teaching graduate courses
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team of colleagues
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experiences with university-school collaborations, long-term partnerships, and student internships in public schools
- Knowledge of university, district, and school cultures, policies, and operations
- Experience in the use of technology to support communication, information management, and virtual professional learning
- Experience in program development and implementation
