We're working with one of Europe's fastest-growing defence technology companies, supplying advanced autonomous systems to NATO forces.
Having raised over $1bn in funding and reached a multibillion-dollar valuation, the business is continuing to expand its engineering capabilities. They're looking for a hands-on RF Engineering Team Lead to take ownership of the Data Link and Tracking systems, among the most expensive and mission-critical components of their drones.
The role combines technical ownership of long-range radio communications with the opportunity to build the future of the team.
The Opportunity
- Own the development and integration of radio data links and tracking technologies enabling reliable, long-range drone communications.
- Lead an existing team of hardware and software engineers, with responsibility for growing the function further.
- Drive technical decisions, design reviews, testing and troubleshooting.
- Shape the team's technical direction, engineering processes and future capabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver production-ready systems.
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in RF engineering
- Hands-on experience developing, integrating or testing RF hardware and communication systems.
- Technical leadership or people-management experience, with an interest in developing engineers.
- Understanding of hardware/software integration
- Experience delivering complex engineering solutions from development through to production.
- Fluency in English
