As a Finance Intern in the Accounting and Reporting team, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and financial reporting. You will assist in the monthly end close process and contribute to the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations and IFRS reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly End Close:
- Assist in the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Support the fixed asset accounting process, including capitalization and depreciation.
- Help in IFRS 16 lease accounting, ensuring compliance with lease standards.
- Assist in the accounting of loans and debts, including interest calculations and reconciliations.
- Financial Statements Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Support the preparation and review of IFRS Reportings.
- Ensure that all financial data is accurate and complies with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Tax Compliance & Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform data analysis to support the finance team in decision-making.
- Assist in the VAT and CIT preparation.
- Assist in preparing various financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
- Assist in the Accounting ERP migration projects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (Swiss CO and IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Proficiency in English and French, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
