Your responsibilities

• Create and deliver internal insight, analyses and forecasts on the wider renewable, decarbonization and flexibility topics in the European market
• Confidently apply complex fundamental market models and identify improvement potential for the existing methodological framework of the different product forecasts
• Strengthen knowledge and analysis on PPAs and batteries, including new markets and potential constraints as well as deliver into and ensure relevance to commercial and strategic decision making
• Proactively support trading, origination and investment decisions; create new business ideas to drive decarbonization and commercial success
• Review and assess external analyses and help to refine Uniper’s view on fundamental drivers and new products
• Ensure effective relationships with peer analysts and stakeholders across multiple teams and locations by connecting them with research, materials, and people to guarantee optimal cooperation, information flow, and to support decision making
• Confidently present and communicate insights related to renewable and decarbonization topics to a wide range of stakeholders across all hierarchical levels within Uniper

Your profile

• Excellent education in the field of Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Energy, Engineering, Economics or similar
• Relevant experience in the field of fundamental market analysis and modeling required, preferably covering the area of renewables, PPAs, decarbonization
• In-depth understanding of the fundamental drivers of the European power & RES market, like politics, cost development, support schemes, PPAs, batteries
• Experience in working with databases and handling of large amounts of data required, additional programming skills (VBA, R, Python etc.) desired
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Strong orientation on results and proactive attitude to support existing processes and drive new developments
• Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively work in an international and diverse environment
