Your responsibilities
Purpose of the role
The Senior Energy Offtake Manager Poland will be responsible for setting up, managing and continuously improving the operational processes required to support Uniper’s renewable energy offtake activities in Poland. The role combines strong back-office process ownership with practical contract management, regulatory coordination and the ability to support or lead negotiations where required.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can bring structure, discipline and follow-through to complex commercial and regulatory processes, while also understanding the commercial logic of PPAs, CfDs, route-to-market agreements, guarantees of origin and other offtake-related contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operational management of Polish energy offtake activities, including trackers, documentation, deadlines, internal approvals, reporting routines and action follow-up.
- Coordinate processes related to Polish subsidy schemes, especially CfD-related requirements, and translate regulatory obligations into practical workflows and deliverables.
- Support the preparation, review, negotiation and administration of commercial agreements, including PPAs, route-to-market agreements, GO contracts, battery tolling arrangements and related claims or settlement topics.
- Work closely with Legal, Risk, Tax, Accounting, Compliance, Trading, Origination, Project Development and Asset Management to ensure that contractual and regulatory obligations are clearly understood and implemented.
- Maintain a clear overview of contract obligations, milestones, notice periods, reporting duties, settlement requirements and decision points.
- Identify gaps, risks and bottlenecks in existing processes and implement practical improvements to increase reliability, transparency and accountability.
- Prepare concise decision material, summaries and recommendations for senior stakeholders, including clear escalation of issues and proposed solutions.
- Support commercial negotiations where needed by preparing facts, contract positions, risk assessments and fall-back options.
- Act as a reliable interface between commercial teams and operational/back-office functions to ensure that signed contracts can be executed effectively.
Your profile
- Strong experience in process management, contract administration, commercial operations, back-office management, procurement, energy trading support, origination support or a comparable regulated environment.
- Good understanding of commercial contracts and the confidence to support negotiations, clarify contract positions and coordinate input from specialist functions.
- Experience with renewable energy, power markets, PPAs, CfDs, subsidy schemes, route-to-market structures or energy-related regulatory processes is highly beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage several parallel workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders without losing attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset and ability to convert complex regulatory, contractual and operational requirements into clear, manageable actions.
- High reliability, ownership mentality and willingness to drive topics through to completion.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to align legal, commercial, financial, technical and compliance perspectives.
- Professional working proficiency in English and Polish; German is an advantage.
Ideal candidate profile
The ideal candidate is a structured and pragmatic process owner with solid contract understanding. They do not need to be a pure front-office originator, but should be able to understand commercial agreements, coordinate specialist input, prepare negotiation positions and step into contract discussions when needed. They should be comfortable working in a regulated energy environment, managing deadlines and documentation, and ensuring that commercial commitments are translated into reliable operational execution.
Reporting line
The role reports to the VP of Energy Offtake and works closely with the wider Renewables, Legal, Risk, Accounting, Tax, Compliance, Trading and Project Development teams.
