Product- / Business Developer hydrogen-based ammonia (w/m/d)

Join our team as a Product- / Business Developer for hydrogen-based ammonia (w/m/d) at Uniper .

You will be part of our product and business development team focusing on hydrogen and climate-friendly ammonia, supporting the energy transition and transforming our company towards sustainable solutions. Your role involves developing products for customers and acting as a bridge between sales managers and procurement of green raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative sales strategies for green ammonia with the team.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the ammonia and hydrogen markets, including potential customers and strategic partners.
• Coordinate and actively participate in creating contracts and letters of intent for ammonia deals.
• Support the development of product features based on market feedback, in collaboration with the team.
• Question and optimize business cases for ammonia, involving various teams (technical, market, legal, regulatory, etc.).
• Advise potential customers and gather feedback on our solutions.
• Conduct internal and external workshops and presentations about our products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Several years of experience in developing innovative products, sales strategies, or business development.
• Experience in conceptualizing new business ideas, negotiating, and drafting customer contracts.
• Strong communication skills for effective work with internal teams and clients at all levels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to combine customer requirements and market developments into new value-adding business opportunities.
• Technical background and extensive network in industries like ammonia, chemicals, fertilizers, mobility sectors, or strong sales experience (e.g., natural gas, technical sales) are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
