Data Steward (f/m/d) (parttime possible)
As a Data Steward, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and effective use of People data. You will coordinate data governance activities, manage data access, and enable AI and analytics use cases while supporting the organization’s commitment to data protection and regulatory standards.
What to expect:
Act as operational coordinator for all People data governance topics.
Create and maintain data documentation (definitions, lineage, limitations).
Data Quality: Ensure transparency on data quality and known data gaps; route and follow up on data issues with source system owners.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with GDPR, AI governance, and internal standards for all analytics and AI activities in the people function.
Access Management: Document usage approvals and ensure auditability; manage and approve access requests to sensitive People data.
Enable data readiness for AI/analytics use cases (availability, clarity, governance).
Support governance checks for new use cases (data, privacy, AI assessments).
Coordinate between use case owners and data owners; ensure demand processes and governance steps are followed.
Support scaling of People Analytics & AI use cases without governance bottlenecks.
What we expect:
Education in law, data, or IT (at least Bachelor).
First experience in a data‑related project management role would be a plus.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (Data Owner/Steward model), data quality, lineage, and documentation principles.
Knowledge of GDPR/data protection principles and AI governance requirements (EU AI Act, internal AI standards).
Experience with People data context (HR systems, job architecture, etc.) is a nice to have.
Ability to translate requirements into practical operational processes.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Ability to drive alignment without formal ownership.
Analytical and structured thinking: ability to document data definitions and logic, identify inconsistencies, gaps, and risks, and ensure transparent assumptions for analytics.
Process and governance mindset: focus on standardization, documentation, process adherence, audit readiness, and traceability.
Technical affinity: good understanding of data flows and analytics environments (e.g. Databricks, Power BI).
Ability to bridge business and technical teams.
