Overview

In this role you drive ITC’s programmes and ensure resources are aligned to deliver practical trade solutions for developing and transition countries. You’ll shape strategy, oversee divisions, and coordinate reports to intergovernmental bodies, while leading diverse teams and fostering cross-institutional partnerships. You will represent ITC at high-level meetings and steer organizational performance and change. This is a mission-driven opportunity to scale MSME trade support within a global development agenda.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Direct operationalization of ITC’s programmes and alignment of human and financial resources
  • Contribute to formulation of ITC’s strategies and policies; advise the Executive Director
  • Provide leadership to Division Directors and oversee administrative and technical divisions
  • Oversee external audits and relationships with partner bodies
  • Coordinate and oversee reporting to intergovernmental bodies; report on budget/programme performance
  • Oversee staff recruitment with attention to gender balance and institutional values
  • Manage and develop staff; foster teamwork across organizational boundaries
  • Chair substantive meetings; represent ITC in international and inter-agency settings
  • Perform related duties as requested by the Executive Director

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field or a first-level degree with substantial qualifying experience
  • Minimum 15 years (17 with first-level degree) of experience in trade development in developing/transition countries
  • Extensive experience leading multi-country/complex aid-for-trade programmes
  • Experience working with MSMEs
  • Experience leading diverse teams and driving organizational change
  • Experience in high-level representation, advocacy, fundraising, and public-private partnerships
  • Proven ability to influence high-level stakeholders and manage results-based programmes
  • Knowledge of UN regulations, rules, and guidelines
