OUR PURPOSE AT PLANCRAFTBuilding the backbone of European trades together – with AI-first software.

We’re not just building software – we’re on a mission to create space for contractors & tradespeople by equipping them with AI solutions that work the way they do: fast, practical, and AI-first.

With Tier 1 Investors from Europe and the US, like Headline and Creandum as well as 30,000+ tradespeople as customer base, we’re scaling across Europe to turn scattered tradespeople into thriving communities.

We believe in zero admin, not zero personality – and we build every feature with the people in mind who wear the boots, not the suits.

We’re #stoked to shape the future, #together as a team, and #humble in our mission to support the builders of tomorrow.

YOUR MISSION AT PLANCRAFTAs our Head of Product (f/m/d), you'll shape what an AI-first product for the trades can become — and turn that ambition into products used by tradespeople across Europe.

We're moving beyond software that digitises administrative work towards software that increasingly does the work itself: answering calls a busy shop can't get to, turning information from the job site into quotes, keeping invoicing moving, and helping business owners understand where their attention is needed.

The challenge is to make these capabilities part of one coherent product experience — not simply add AI features to an existing product.

The playbook for software that runs a trades business for its owner doesn't exist yet. You'll play a key role in shaping it.

And the timing matters: we already have a substantial customer base, we're expanding into new European markets, and we're heading into our next stage of growth.

AI is fundamentally changing what's possible for our customers, while our existing scale means the decisions you make can reach real businesses quickly.

You'll lead our Product Management and UX teams and turn company strategy into focused product execution.

You'll define where AI meaningfully changes the customer experience, drive priorities and trade-offs across our core product, AI capabilities, and European markets, and set the bar for products customers can trust even when the underlying technology is probabilistic.

At the same time, you'll shape how Product works at the company: developing a strong Product and UX organisation, bringing teams closer to customers and outcomes, and creating the clarity and ownership needed to move fast.

  • Your Responsibilities
  • Make AI the product, not a feature.

Define where AI can fundamentally change how tradespeople run their businesses and translate those opportunities into coherent product experiences across our platform.

  • Set the bar for trustworthy AI products.

Own how we approach AI quality, reliability, evaluation, and decision boundaries — ensuring customers can confidently rely on the capabilities we put into their hands.

  • Turn strategy into focus.

Translate company strategy into a prioritised product portfolio and clear team outcomes, driving prioritisation and trade-off decisions across markets, platform, and AI.

  • Lead Product Management and UX as one function.

Directly lead around nine PMs and designers, raise the bar on product thinking, develop their capabilities, and strengthen ownership across the organisation.

  • Build outcome-oriented product teams.

Continue the shift from domains and output towards teams that own customer problems and outcomes, stay close to real tradespeople through discovery, data, and experimentation, and have the autonomy to act on what they learn.

  • Build for Europe. Scale the product across markets, balancing shared foundations with the customer and market needs that genuinely differ.
  • Create a product organisation that moves with clarity.

Establish a pragmatic operating model, clear decision-making rhythms, and strong interfaces across Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM — with product and customer outcomes as the measure of success and commercial outcomes co-owned with GTM.

  • The scoreboard — how we'll know it's working
  • Autopilot penetration & hours given back — the share of the real work (quotes, scheduling, invoicing, materials) our AI runs end-to-end and the customer keeps — not reworks — and the admin hours that hands back to every business.
  • Net revenue retention & AI-driven expansion — customers who stay and grow because the AI pays for itself, with usage- and outcome-based revenue as new capabilities land (co-owned with GTM).
  • Time-to-first-value, in every market — how fast a new business — in Germany, Italy or Spain — reaches its first AI-sent quote or automated invoice, with onboarding that stays light.
  • Feature impact ratio — the share of what we ship that actually moves its target outcome: the number that keeps us a product team, not a feature factory.

Your Profile

  • You've led product in high-growth B2B Saa S on a similar level, with PMs — and ideally UX/design — reporting to you.
  • You've built (AI) products where the intelligence is the value — not internal productivity tooling or a bolt-on feature.

You know how designing on top of probabilistic, fast-moving models changes discovery, UX, iteration, reliability, and the economics of the product.

  • You've built and scaled software products across multiple international markets, and understand how product strategy, customer needs, and execution change as the business expands.
  • You turn strategy into execution. You have a strong bias to ship, make the necessary trade-offs, and own them.
  • You've moved teams from output to outcomes and led them through meaningful organisational and product change.
  • You lead directly and pragmatically — adding structure where it helps and removing it where it doesn't.
  • You're fluent in English (C1/C2); German is a real plus.

You're based in Germany and can spend around minimum a week per month with the team in Hamburg (which can also be split across the month).

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

This role is for an experienced Product leader who combines strong Product craft, organisational leadership, and a bias towards execution.

You’re comfortable moving between strategy and the actual product: shaping priorities with senior leadership, developing strong PMs and designers, challenging trade-offs, and staying close enough to customers and technology to build strong Product judgement.

You’ll thrive here if you’re excited by the opportunity to shape an AI-first product at meaningful scale, evolve how a Product organisation works, and help build a product that can serve tradespeople across Europe.
