Job: QA Engineer – Full Time – Wiesbaden – (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications and native mobile apps (iOS & Android)
  • Use Playwright (JS) to create and optimize test automation scripts, maintain existing scripts and utilize AI tools to accelerate automation workflows
  • Perform functional, smoke, sanity, integration, localization, and regression testing across complex features like user registration, ad posting flows, search/filtering logic and premium subscription models
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers and DevOps teams to identify issues early and ensure high‑quality product delivery (Shift‑Left approach)
  • Investigate, document and track bugs in Jira and Confluence, providing clear feedback to developers and coordinating bug fixes
  • Verify platform quality across different environments before production launch and assist with release coordination
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support teams during showcases and alignment meetings to safeguard release quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience in software quality assurance and testing
  • Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and the STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
  • Experience with mobile application testing on iOS and Android platforms
  • Familiarity with creating and executing Playwright automation scripts using JavaScript or similar
  • Experience with version control systems using Git and GitHub workflows
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for performing direct database queries
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and cross‑functional communication skills
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with API and performance testing
  • Exposure to AI‑driven QA tools, test generation or intelligent automation platforms
