The aim of this role is to lead and manage the Corporate Real Estate & Business Services department with a focus on strategic and operational excellence.

This role is responsible for ensuring optimal performance in corporate real estate, office management and business services, occupational health and safety, emergency preparedness, and organizational process improvement.

The Regional Head of Corporate Real Estate & Business Services plays a critical role in supporting executive leadership, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency across internal functions and reports to the Head of Group Corporate Real Estate & Business Services.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Own and manage regional workplaces and facilities budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and ongoing financial control.
  • Prepare annual operating and capital expenditure plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Plan and coordinate office infrastructure, space allocation, and building projects in line with business growth and strategic goals.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of office space, office services, infrastructure, and technical systems
  • Develop and implement workplace strategies for the region, support workplace changes, relocations, and office fit-out projects.
  • Ensure high-quality workplace services that support employee productivity and well-being.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day facility operations across assigned locations.
  • Oversee all facilities operations across the region, ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
  • Manage and optimize enterprise applications used within the Internal Organization department, ensuring they support operational needs.
  • Act as trusted advisor to local business leaders, lead regional workplace and facilities teams, collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, and Security.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for issues and concerns related to internal organizational structures and processes.
  • Drive the identification, assessment, and mitigation of departmental risks, ensuring alignment with corporate risk management strategies.
  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and audit readiness.
  • Manage vendor contracts and service delivery (car fleet and car park management, cleaning, security, maintenance, catering, etc.).
  • Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Standardize workplace and office processes across the region.
  • Drive efficiency initiatives and automation opportunities.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and service metrics.
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives.

Your skills and experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Business Administration, Facility or Office Management, Real Estate, or related field, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with enterprise planning and facilities management tools.
  • Experience with planning and managing budgets, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-impact teams and manage complex projects across multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational and operational management skills.
  • Multi-site or multi-regional scope experience.
  • Proven track record in managing transformative change and streamlining internal processes through simplification, automation, and standardization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in German and very good English.
