Our collaborative and international environment fosters innovation, excellence, and impactful research.br/The division of Experimental Virology (Prof. Daniel Pinschewer) at the Department of Biomedicine is looking to recruit with immediate effect or by arrangement a highly motivated and skilled research technician.br/ our community and help shape the future of biomedicine. /ph3Your position /h3pResearch projects of the group cover a broad range of topics ranging from molecular virology over mechanistic vaccinology to fundamental questions around virus – host relationship in persistent microbial infection. Accordingly the techniques applied comprise classical and cutting-edge molecular biological techniques, the engineering of viruses and their growth as well as characterization in cell culture and the assessment of immune responses in vivo in mice and ex vivo by multi-dimensional flow cytometry and serological assays. You will support the projects of experienced postdoctoral and doctoral researchers by contributing to the planning and execution of experimental work and by analyzing data. Additionally you will assume core responsibilities for the organization, maintenance and logistics of the lab. /ph3Your profile /h3pYou have trained as a laboratory technician or hold a university degree in the life sciences. Moreover, you have practical experience in fundamental biomedical research, ideally in the domains of molecular biology, virology and in immunology using animal models. You are passionate about your work, and your scientific mindset, precision in execution of work and thought allow you to independently conduct complex experiments. You have a hardworking attitude and the strong desire to continuously learn, which will allow you to become an integral part of a young and dynamic research team.
