Guest Professor

• Independent realization of research work in the fields of human geography, especially economic geography.
• Participation in the fulfillment of research tasks of the organizational unit.
• Independent organization and delivery of courses and examinations in the field of human geography, particularly the specialization in spatial development and regional research.
• Supervision of human geography students, including supervision of Bachelor\’s and Master\’s theses and dissertations.
• Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures.

Your profile:

• Completed doctorate or PhD studies in human geography or related subjects.
• Experience in independent teaching, including at Master\’s level, and proof of a teaching certificate.
• Broad knowledge of social science methods.
• Proof of publications in relevant international journals.
• Experience in successfully acquiring third-party funding.
• International academic experience.
• Very high motivation.
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to communicate.

For this position, a minimum gross salary of €6,056 per month (14 times) is stipulated in the collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase over the course of your employment.
