The triple accredited (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) university offers a stimulating and well-equipped research environment with a large network ranging from start-ups, small businesses to large firms to engage in research. The new professorship in the School of Management will become part of our dynamic faculty and will be invited to join the Institute of Technology Management (ITEM-HSG) and the Global Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
We are seeking a colleague with proven expertise in one or more of the key domains of Technology and Innovation Management, including Global R&D, Innovation Strategy, Digital Innovation, Open Innovation, AI-driven Innovation, Technology Strategy, or related fields. Depending on qualifications, the appointment will be made at the level of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor with Tenure Track.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Associate Professorship has:
- an internationally recognised and leading track record in research in leading journals in the field of Technology and Innovation Management, reflected in publications in top journals (e.g. FT50)
- a strong pipeline of promising research projects
- a strong international academic network
- ties with industry
- excellent teaching skills at all levels, including Executive Education

Associate Professors at the University of St.Gallen are provided with a budget to hire a doctoral student.
