The University Children's Hospital of Basel (UKBB) is the university competence centre for paediatric and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research in Northwestern Switzerland. The Center Neuroorthopaedics and Clinical Motion Analysis (NeOMo) in Basel is one of Switzerland’s leading institutions for clinical movement analysis. As an interdisciplinary team, we combine state‑of‑the‑art technologies with clinical expertise and innovative research to bring about lasting improvements in the care of children and adolescents with movement disorders.

Ihre Aufgaben
Participation to human movement data collection and processing of patients' data in the gait laboratory
Analysis and interpretation of individual patient datasets
Maintenance and further development of software for the analysis of clinical data and generation of clinical reports
Participation to laboratory meetings, including patient's case presentation, data interpretation, communication with surgeons, providing technical references for correct clinical decision‑making
Participation to scientific projects relevant to the routine clinical work and to the research interests of the group and in line with current trends within the scientific community
Participation to scientific dissemination through relevant scientific conferences and publishing of papers in important peer‑reviewed journals
Support of students, in the context of defined research questions of the UKBB group
Provide technical and scientific support to research projects of other team members
Ihr Profil
You are a biomechanical or biomedical engineer or a graduate human movement scientist with experience in motion analysis
You have good programming skills in Python or Matlab
You have experience and are interested in musculo‑skeletal modelling
The successful candidate is pragmatic, is able to multitask, problem solving oriented and can work independently in a team environment
Communication skills in oral and written English are essential as well as communication skills in oral German are essential
