Your role We offer an attractive Research Associate position in Computer Vision for vision-based anomaly detection. The successful candidate will join the Computer Vision, machine Intelligence and Imaging (CVI²) research group ( http://cvi2.uni.lu ) headed by Prof. Djamila Aouada to conduct exciting research with high impact in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

He/she will help in shaping research directions within a European project involving multiple interdisciplinary partners. He/she will perform the following tasks: Shaping research directions and producing results. Topics include but are not limited to: Anomaly detection and pattern recognition in visual data Multimodal fusion Thermal imaging Unsupervised and self-supervised learning Data simulation and synthesis Disseminating results through scientific publications Collaborating with multiple project stakeholders from a large European consortium Carry out high-impact research within an interdisciplinary context Coordinating research projects and delivering outputs Participating in writing proposals Participating to the teaching activities Implementing real-time solutions Providing guidance to PhD and MSc students Organizing relevant workshops and demonstrations For further information, please contact Your profile A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field Competitive research record in Computer Vision, preferably with publications at top-tier CV/ML conferences/journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, etc.) A previous experience in European projects would be a plus Strong development skills in Python Strong mathematical background Ability to work in an interdisciplinary context Broad experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning concepts Commitment, team working, and a critical mind Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory Advanced scientific report writing skills We offer Multilingual and international character.
