Professor for Data Science (m/f/d)

For our Faculty of Business in Potsdam, we are looking for a full-time (40h/week): Professor for Data Science (m/f/d) You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of new trends and applications in the field of Data Science as well as in teaching students from various cultures. Key Activities & Responsibilities: Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence Planning and implementation of research and development projects including publication activities in the field of Data Science and Digital Business Advising and supervising students Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Berlin location Administrative activities and committee work Advising prospective students Requirements for professorship: University studies completed with a master’s degree Proof of extraordinary qualifications for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university Your profile: Experience in Mathematics and Statistics as well as programming with Python, R, and SQL, etc. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, NLP, and model evaluation Knowledge of data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation techniques; experience with databases and big data technologies Work experience in international and national companies Ability to teach courses in English language Publication and research activity desired Strong ability to communicate and work in a team Organizational skills and eagerness to work together to advance the success and growth of the University What we offer: Opportunity to work with a great team in a dynamic and international environment Days of vacation according to the working days/week Various online language courses and opportunities to participate in online collaboration courses Numerous campus events from the fields of art, culture, business and science Opportunity to develop and implement new ideas and concept Interested?
