Overview Position: Universitätsassistent*in post doc in Steuerrecht with Fokus Verkehrssteuern and indirekte Steuern. Engaged effective September 2026. Contract duration of 3 years and 2 months.
Responsibilities
Actively participate in research, teaching, and administration.
Build an independent research profile and continually develop it.
Participate in research projects.
Write original publications and present work at specialist conferences.
Apply for projects and secure third‑party funding.
Prepare and complete a publication‑ready habilitation.
Conduct independent lectures in accordance with the collective agreement.
Supervise students.
Participate in evaluation measures and contribute to quality assurance.
Support research, teaching, and institute administration.
Qualifications
PhD in Law with a focus on finance or tax law, especially Verkehrssteuern and indirect taxes.
Postgraduate advanced training in tax law.
Methodological competence in legal science.
Didactic competence.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent English in spoken and written form.
Computer literacy.
Team orientation.
Additional: Teaching experience or experience with e‑learning in a university and postgraduate setting.
Ability to conduct English‑language lectures.
Experience in collaborative research projects with publications in reputable, specialist media.
Knowledge of university procedures and structures.
International experience.
Experience in student supervision.
Experience in supervising scientific work.
Experience in scientific organizational tasks.
