Corporate Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises owns and operates a fleet of thirteen intimate, boutique river cruise ships on the European waterways which cater exclusively to English-speaking clients. To support our Nautical Team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional in the role of:

Who Are You?
- A dedicated professional with a strong background in nautical operations and safety.
- A motivational leader with a talent for mentoring and developing crew members.
- Experienced in managing navigational challenges on European rivers and implementing advanced nautical technologies.
- Skilled in compliance with safety management systems and maritime regulations.
- A proactive communicator who fosters collaboration between nautical, technical, hotel, and program services operations.
- Adaptable and willing to travel regularly to oversee fleet operations and ensure smooth sailing.
- A relationship builder who maintains strong connections with local vendors and authorities.
- Holder of a valid captain’s license for commercial inland navigation in Europe with 10+ years of maritime industry experience .
- Fluent in English and French (German and Dutch knowledge would be a plus).
- Proficient in Office 365 (experience with MXP, Radiant Fleet, and MX Suite is an advantage).
About the Role
- Assume responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of our European fleet.
- Work closely with the Director of Nautical Operations and corporate captains to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations, safety, health, and environmental objectives.
- Promote open and active communication, respectful leadership, and a strong safety culture .
- Plan and organize sailing schedules while addressing operational challenges.
- Support technical teams in maintaining high vessel performance and operational excellence.
- Contribute to Uniworld’s sustainability goals by implementing eco-friendly operational practices.
