Organization Background
The Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO) is part of the UNOPS Europe and Central Asia Region (ECR). It aims to support Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement through programs in infrastructure, procurement, project management, HR services, grants management, technical advisory, and project information.
Water & Energy Cluster: The WEC portfolio manages a USD 490 million portfolio supporting climate action, environmental protection, and sustainable development, aligning with international agreements like the Paris Agreement and SDGs.
The NDC Partnership
A global coalition supporting climate action and sustainable development, involving nearly 200 countries and institutions. It works to accelerate NDC implementation and increase ambition, facilitated by a Support Unit based in Washington DC and Bonn, Germany. UNOPS supports this through the Water and Energy Cluster.
Job Specifics
The officer will support the PAF Program under the supervision of the PAF Program Manager, ensuring effective communication, process management, and reporting. Responsibilities include operationalizing procedures for recruitment and grants, and liaising with stakeholders including UNOPS, the World Resources Institute, and NDC Partnership members.
The position is full-time for six months (July 2025 – December 2025). It is preferably based in Bonn, Germany, but can be home-based pending approvals.
Key Functions
Coordination of PAF Window 1 activities, among others.
Qualifications
A relevant university degree (bachelor’s or higher).
