The DAS team will be challenged to think big and move fast to enable unybrands’ goal to build a culture of “self-service” analytics, data-driven decision making and data science-driven semi/full automation.
This role will collaborate closely with DAS members, Data Engineers (DEs) and business stakeholders across departments such as Supply Chain, Commercial, Marketing, and Finance. The primary focus is on developing applications in Tableau and other business intelligence tools to support data-driven strategies across the organization.
Responsibilities include – but not limited to:
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define project requirements, and develop Tableau solutions that address those needs—even when the requirements are not clearly defined by users.
- Experience with Supply Chain Operation.
- Creating and continuously improving Tableau applications and other BI tools to serve teams across unybrands, with a key focus on Supply Chain.
- Recognizing high-quality data as a strategic resource and building analytics products that support every aspect of the business.
- Developing interactive, self-service applications that allow stakeholders to explore complex data without requiring SQL expertise, as well as actionable dashboards highlighting KPIs and key action items.
- Collaborating with infrastructure and data engineering teams to deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
A successful team member will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field—or equivalent technical education and work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field with a proven track record of leveraging analytics as a strategic resource.
- Experience in Supply Chain Operation.
- Experience designing and developing self-service Tableau applications and dashboards.
- Collaboration with data engineers to design robust data models and reporting structures.
- Proficiency in developing Tableau solutions and working with GCP data technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Looker Studio).
- Proven success in communicating effectively with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements and deliver analytics applications or solutions.
- Ability to create detailed documentation supporting data governance, exploration, and maintenance.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while advancing long-term goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Proven experience building and delivering complex, modular analytics systems designed as flexible, well-documented components (avoiding monolithic designs).
- Knowledge of best practices in analytics engineering, including:
- Adhering to coding standards and conducting code reviews.
- Implementing mature build, test, and deployment lifecycle processes.
- Avoiding single points of failure and minimizing technical debt.
