Operations Coordinator

Ensure all shipments are efficiently processed, recovered and dispatched in accordance with customer requirements.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Processing of Import shipments in coordination with our forwarding agents and customs clearance agents.
• Processing of export shipments sent within the UPS network.
• Coordination of pick-ups and deliveries within Switzerland and surrounding countries in cooperation with Marken subcontractors as well as scheduling of own drivers.
• Performing all shipment activities of shipments within Switzerland and surrounding foreign countries, such as monitoring pick-ups and deliveries, confirming arrivals and departures of import and export shipments (air freight as well as UPS network), correct shipment handling and in case of delays and/or deviations, coordination and implementation of corrective and/or immediate remedial actions.
• Performing all post-delivery activities, such as checking the return of reusable boxes and data recorders after delivery, as well as archiving transport documents.
• Handling of internal Marken cost requests as well as invoice control of Marken subcontractors.
• Daily communication and correspondence with partners in Switzerland and abroad as well as other Marken offices via email, telephone and Slack.
• Supporting the Operations Supervisor in dealing with operational concerns.
• Analysis of repetitive operational problems and the development of possible service solutions in cooperation with the respective Department Supervisor and/or Line Manager.
• Initiate incident handling process and subsequent routing to QC with required Information.

General

• Adhere to all MARKEN Policies and SOPs at all times.
• Partake in all training sessions set forth by MARKEN.
• Actively participate in scheduled meetings to discuss services operational performance and concerns.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of the Line Manager or Branch Manager.
