Full-Stack Data Analyst (f/m/d)

Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 160+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.

We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money .

What will you work on?

1. Data Analysis and Insights : Dive into complex datasets to extract valuable insights and trends that drive data-informed decisions, ensuring our B2B offerings are optimised for success.
2. Client Data Analysis & Customised Reporting : Conduct in-depth analysis of client data to provide actionable insights and create custom reports and data visualisations tailored to our B2B clients‘ specific needs.
3. Data Architecture and Tools : Collaborate on data architecture projects with a primary focus on achieving 100% data consistency using advanced tools such as DBT, BigQuery, and Looker.
4. Cross-Functional Impact : Collaborate with various teams, including developers and product managers, to integrate your data-driven insights into our B2B products and services.
5. Data Strategy Implementation and Product Enhancement : Execute our data strategy, ensuring that data-driven solutions are integrated into our B2B offerings.

Job requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in an analyst or data engineering role requiring data interrogation, analysis, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in handling complex datasets.
• Conducting analysis to preemptively identify issues and surface actionable insights.
• Expertise in data visualisation and using data insights to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Expert level proficiency in SQL, experience with DBT, BigQuery, and Looker.
• Proficiency in another programming language (Python, R, Java, etc.).
• Comfortable with the Git workflow.
• A builder’s mindset with a willingness to question assumptions.
• Ability to communicate results clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage project work.
• Proven experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
