Recreation Specialist (Outdoor Recreation) NF-03 in Baumholder

This position is located at USAG Rheinland-Pfalz - MWR, Outdoor Recreation Program, Baumholder, Germany.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

• Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
• Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

1. Conversational proficiency in German, enabling effective communication with German speaking participants or partners while in support of a recreational activity.
2. Certification as a ski or snowboard instructor, demonstrating advanced skill, safety awareness, and instructional capability in winter sports programs.
3. Knowledge of outdoor recreation programs, including hunting and fishing activities, safety protocols, equipment use, and regulatory compliance.
