In order to further strengthen our Telecommunication Solutions business unit we are looking for a QA Engineer for Test Automation (m/f/d).
Your tasks
- Definition and development of test cases to ensure software functionality and optimize quality.
- Test automation of regression tests to speed up software release cycles.
- Installation and configuration of operating systems to execute test cases (Linux, KVM, VMware, K8s, AWS Cloud, Google Cloud).
- Identification of hardware and operating system requirements.
- Documentation of your test activities, balancing chances and risks and recommending alternative actions.
- Identification of optimization potentials in the software and the documentation and implementation of these in terms of test efficiency.
- Support of the test planning.
Your profile
- You have a degree in computer science or a comparable field or an apprenticeship with relevant professional experience in software QA.
- You have profound knowledge of the programming language Python (PyCharm).
- Ideally, you have experience with test automation for testing complex applications.
- You have used defect tracking systems (Jira, Confluence).
- You have good knowledge of test responsibilities and test processes within software development.
- You are adept at working with Linux, ideally RHEL.
- You have knowledge in network technologies and protocols.
- You have used test management tools such as TestLink or Jira and Zephyr before.
