POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Patient Support Services and the VP of Support Services, the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator is responsible for developing, promoting, implementing, and maintaining Central Vermont Medical Center’s Emergency Operations Plan including both internal and external event responses. The Coordinator is responsible for all four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in a healthcare related field required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Training or experience in project management preferred.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
Completion of Certificate in Hospital Emergency Incident Command System (HEICS), and certificate and demonstrated competency in ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800b, Instructor Level Preferred.
EXPERIENCE
3 years’ experience with disaster planning, emergency management, or emergency preparedness required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
